Herron's seasonal markets are run and planned entirely by IUPUI's Herron art students. They take place twice a year, once every semester to provide students with a learning opportunity for artistic business practices and possible career avenues in the safe campus environment. Originally the printmaking and ceramics departments started pop-up sales within the main building that then evolved into the art market you see today, allowing income-generating and networking opportunities for our fellow students. I was in charge of communications with students/vendors, table placement, marketing, and logistics. This market was a passion project for me, and it turned out to be one of the best events we held as a collective with my fellow students.
